Pic. The bounced cheques with the teller’s stamps
A Parliamentary Candidate in the 2016 general elections at the Asuogyaman Constituency, Hon. Kwame Adu Darkwa has been exposed in his attempt to defraud the Asuogyaman constituency executives of the party.
Kwame Adu Darkwa in an attempt to also hoodwink the constituency executives issued Stanbic Bank cheques totalling GHC 10,000 which bounced to the disappointment of the executives.
Mr. Adu Darkwa in a knee-jerk reaction issued the cheques to the constituency elections officer to buy polling station forms when he heard that Mr. Paul Ansah, the Director General of the Ghana Ports and Harbours Authority had bought all the 2,000 polling station nomination forms valued at GHC 20,000 to be distributed free of charge to those interested in contesting in the impending elections.
The Parliamentary Candidate in the 2016 elections at Asuogyaman therefore donated the cheques as gift to the constituency. However when the cheques were presented to the Ashaiman branch of the bank to be cashed they bounced as Mr Adu Darkwah’s accounts were found empty.
This has left many tongues wagging as to why the former parliamentary candidate would want to defraud the constituency which once supported him in the 2016 elections which he lost to the opposition National Democratic Congress candidate.
